I\u2019m Margarida Santos and I\u2019ve always had a strong passion for volunteering and helping people. That\u2019s why, alongside a career in education, I chose to become a volunteer firefighter. <\/p>\n
I have always believed that teaching how to be matters even more than teaching how to do\u2014passing on values such as empathy, solidarity and responsibility.<\/p>\n
At school, I believe forming citizens who are conscious and engaged with their community is just as essential as academic learning.
